TERMS & CONDITIONS – SALSA BANBURY

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Salsa Banbury (“we”, “us”, “our”) and any individual (“you”, “your”, “participant”, “customer”) attending our classes, workshops, or events. By participating in any of our activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.


1. Definitions

1.1. “Classes” refers to all dance classes, including regular sessions, workshops, and private lessons organised by Salsa Banbury.
1.2. “Events” includes social dance evenings, themed nights, and any other public or private gatherings hosted by us.
1.3. “Venue” means any premises where our activities are held.


2. Services

2.1. We provide the following services:

  • Latin dance instruction, primarily in Salsa;

  • Social dance events and parties;

  • Dance workshops and other special activities.

2.2. Full details of class times, locations, and fees are published on our official website and/or social media platforms. These may be subject to reasonable change without prior notice.


3. Fees and Payment

3.1. Payment is due in full at the time of attendance. We do not currently process payments online.
3.2. You must make payment prior to entering the class or event.
3.3. All fees are quoted in GBP (£) and include applicable VAT, where relevant.


4. Refunds and Cancellations

4.1. Except where we cancel a session (see clause 4.3), all payments are non-refundable.
4.2. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any class or event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. instructor illness, venue unavailability, force majeure).
4.3. In the event of cancellation by us, you will be offered a choice of:

  • A full refund, or

  • A credit or transfer to a future session of equivalent value.

4.4. Refunds will not be provided if you fail to attend a booked session without prior notice.


5. Conduct and Code of Behaviour

5.1. You agree to act respectfully towards instructors and fellow participants at all times.
5.2. We reserve the right to:

  • Deny entry,

  • Suspend participation, or

  • Remove any individual whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or offensive, without entitlement to a refund.

This is in accordance with our duty under the Occupiers’ Liability Act 1957 to maintain a safe environment for all participants.


6. Health and Safety

6.1. Participation in dance involves physical activity. By joining, you warrant that you are physically fit and medically able to engage in such activities.
6.2. You participate at your own risk. We accept no liability for personal injury unless directly caused by our negligence or breach of duty under UK law.
6.3. It is your responsibility to notify the instructor prior to participation of any medical condition or injury which may affect your ability to take part.


7. Personal Belongings

7.1. All personal belongings are brought to the venue at your own risk.
7.2. We do not accept responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage, howsoever caused, unless due to our wilful misconduct or negligence.


8. Photography and Media

8.1. We may capture photos and videos during classes or events for promotional purposes, including on our website and social media platforms.
8.2. If you do not wish to appear in such material, you must inform us in writing prior to the session.
8.3. All such content remains the intellectual property of Salsa Banbury.


9. Data Protection

9.1. We are committed to complying with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
9.2. Any personal data you provide is handled securely and only for the purposes of administering your participation in our services.
9.3. We will not share your personal information with third parties without your express consent, except where required by law.


10. Variations to Terms

10.1. We may revise these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
10.2. Continued participation following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.


11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

11.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11.2. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
